Rockaway Cop Allegedly Sexually Assaulted Teenage Girls
Police officers recently arrested a Rockaway Township NJ police officers who allegedly sexually assaulted two young girls.
The alleged victims in the sex crime case are teenagers. According to Morris County law enforcement officials, both of the victims are under the age of 17. (One of the victims is said to be 15 years old.)
The suspect is a 40-year-old adult male who resides in Rockaway Township, New Jersey. He is a police officer with the Rockaway Township Police Department.
The suspect allegedly gave the underage girls drugs and alcohol and had sex with them.
Multiple law enforcement agencies, including the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office and the Rockaway Township Police Department, launched an investigation into the suspect after receiving information about the sex crime allegations. Morris County Prosecutor’s Office detectives later obtained an arrest warrant and placed the suspect under arrest. He was subsequently charged with numerous sex crimes, including sexual assault and child endangerment.
In addition to facing criminal charges and possible prison time, the suspect may also be subject to an investigation by the NJ Division of Child Protection and Permanency (DCPP), formerly known as the Division of Youth and Family Services (DYFS). That’s because the alleged sex crimes involved juveniles.
